Honey-Glazed Ham

Ingredients:

  • 1 (7-8 pound) bone-in ham, smoked
  • 1 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup Dijon mustard
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/4 cup pineapple juice (optional)
  • 1/4 cup orange juice (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 325°F (165°C).
  2. Score the ham in a crosshatch pattern with a sharp knife.
  3. In a small bowl, combine the honey, Dijon mustard, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, cloves, cinnamon, nutmeg, and black pepper.
  4. If desired, stir in the pineapple juice and orange juice.
  5. Place the ham in a roasting pan and pour the glaze over the ham, making sure to coat all sides.
  6. Cover the ham with foil and bake for 2-3 hours, or until the internal temperature reaches 140°F (60°C).
  7. Remove the foil and baste the ham with the glaze every 30 minutes.
  8. Continue baking for an additional 30-45 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C).
  9. Remove the ham from the oven and let it rest for 10-15 minutes before slicing.

Tips:
