Upcycled Fruit Leather
Upcycled Fruit Leather is a delicious way to reduce food waste. It's made from pureed and dehydrated fruit scraps. This snack is a great way to get your daily dose of vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants.
Ingredients:
1 cup fruit scraps (such as apple peels, banana peels, mango peels, etc.)
1/4 cup water
1/4 cup honey (optional)
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 170°F (77°C).
- In a blender, puree the fruit scraps and water until smooth.
- If desired, add the honey and vanilla extract.
- Spread the fruit puree evenly on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Dehydrate the fruit puree in the oven for 6-8 hours, or until it is completely dry and leathery.
- Once the fruit leather is dry, cut it into strips or squares.
- Store the fruit leather in an airtight container at room temperature.
